The Haskell Company is seeking a Senior Substation Designer to lead the physical layout and design of medium to high voltage substations (15kV-500kV). You will produce comprehensive design packages and mentor junior designers while collaborating across engineering, project management, and construction teams.

Responsibilities include creating complete substation packages, coordinating with engineers, interpreting electrical diagrams, and applying industry standards.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years of substation physical design experience (utility or EPC environments).
• Associate degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or related field; equivalent work experience considered.
• Experience mentoring junior designers and coordinating with engineers on design packages.

Aufgaben

• Create complete physical design packages for substations including general arrangements, layouts, elevations, grounding, cable trays, and BOMs.
• Coordinate with engineers and drafters to meet project requirements and standards.
• Interpret one-line and three-line diagrams to develop physical drawings and ensure code compliance.
• Provide field support, conduct site visits, and perform quality checks during construction.
