Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Substation Civil/Structural Engineer to join our diverse, fast-paced organization. You will lead and design high voltage substation projects and interact with other disciplines to deliver bid/construction packages.

This role can be filled remotely within the United States; travel to client sites and industry events may be required. A B.S. in Civil Engineering and 2+ years of relevant experience are expected, with proficiency in the listed software.

Qualifications

B.S. degree in Civil Engineering.
Engineer with 2+ years of directly applicable experience.
PE License, preferred or near completion.
Experience with Word/Excel/PowerPoint & Mathcad software, required.
Experience with RISA 3-D, STAAD.Pro, FAD, SAFE, SAG10, and LPILE software, required.
Familiarity with AutoCAD and MicroStation, required.
Strong analytical and technical writing skills.
Team player with ability to communicate with clients and staff.

Responsibilities

Perform design engineering for civil/structural components of substation projects.
Develop bid and construction package designs, calculations, and markups.
Coordinate with engineers, designers, and drafting staff; conduct site visits and travel as needed.
