Job summary

Belltower Fund Group is seeking a Subscriptions & Closings Manager to lead the S&C team responsible for launching funds, closing capital, and ensuring precise SPV setup for GPs and institutional clients.

You will partner with Product, Engineering, and the Fund Formation teams to ship process improvements, while maintaining a white-glove client experience at scale in a remote-first environment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in fund administration, fund operations, or investor services within private markets.
• Direct experience closing traditional closed-end/drawdown funds, including capital calls, side letters, and multi-close mechanics.
• Experience in a controls-conscious environment (audit, compliance, AML/KYC, or a regulated financial services setting) and comfort building or tightening control checkpoints in a high-volume process.
• Strong customer service experience serving GPs, LPs, or institutional clients in private markets or fund administration.
• 1+ years managing or leading a team.
• Working knowledge of venture fund structures (SPVs, rolling funds, traditional funds) and the documents that govern them, including subscription and purchase documents and side letters.
• Product mindset: turning recurring operational pain into tooling or process changes, and knowing when a manual workaround is fine vs systemic fix.
• High EQ and systems-analytic skills; ability to manage relationships and translate needs into tooling requirements.

Responsibilities

• Set priorities, run coverage and workload planning, coach team members, and maintain clear SLAs for setup accuracy and closing turnaround.
• Own end-to-end quality of fund and SPV setup, subscription review, proration, and closing confirmation; escalate as needed for compliance risks.
• Serve as the direct S&C point of contact for GPs and institutional customers, delivering a white-glove experience and translating needs into product requirements.
• Own the S&C playbooks and execution for institutional fund closings—side letters, capital call mechanics, multi-close and parallel-fund administration.
• Build and own the S&C playbooks for institutional fund closings (drawdown administration, side-letter tracking, complex allocations) as a separate workstream.
• Own control checkpoints in the setup-to-close workflow (KYC/AML, sanctions screening, segregation of duties) and drive remediation when exceptions occur.
• Identify, specify, and ship product and process improvements with AngelList’s Product and Engineering teams; document changes and releases.
