BHDIC Claims, fully remote, seeks a Recovery Representative II (Subrogation) to manage a desk of subrogation claims and negotiate recoveries for Berkshire Hathaway Direct Insurance Company. Reports to the Recovery Unit Team Lead.

Responsibilities include reviewing claims, coordinating with adjusters, pursuing payments, and managing deductible collections, with strict diary upkeep and adherence to applicable laws and policy terms. Requires a Bachelor’s degree and 1–2 years of related experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of related work experience.
• Basic math skills and literacy in computer use.

Responsibilities

• Handle subrogation claims and determine recovery potential across lines of business.
• Coordinate with adjusters, experts, and attorneys to pursue recovery.
• Review invoices and ensure recoveries are properly recorded.
• Pursue deductible collections and coordinate with policyholders.
• Maintain diary system and use IIS, Apollo, and Duck Creek systems.
• Stay current on laws, cases, and policy coverage related to subrogation.
• Engage outside vendors as needed.
