Job summary

Berkshire Hathaway Direct Insurance Company is seeking a fully remote Business Auto Claims Adjuster to evaluate and resolve commercial auto and garagekeeper’s claims. The role demands strong claims knowledge, customer service, and the ability to work independently from a remote office.

Responsibilities include investigating losses, securing statements, reviewing coverage, gathering evidence, and timely processing payments while maintaining files and licenses as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum 3 years past experience handling property damage claims or 5 years in a relevant field.
• Prior experience with bodily injury claims is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Con duct investigations and adjust commercial auto and garagekeeper's claims from a remote setting.
• Secure recorded statements from involved parties and analyze coverage issues.
• Obtain and review estimates, reports and other evidence to determine liability and damages.
• Maintain and organize claim files per established guidelines and timelines.
• Communicate findings and recommended actions to internal stakeholders and customers.
