Job summary

The START Center for Cancer Research is seeking a Director of Study Operations to lead research operations, oversee Clinical Research Coordinators, Data Coordinators, and Medical Records to ensure quality patient care and regulatory compliance.

This role provides direction across department processes, training, recruitment, and supervision, collaborating with nursing and shared services to support study acquisition, activation, and QA.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership of clinical research operations teams.
• Experience ensuring data quality and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to oversee R&D data coordination and medical records workflows.
• Proven track record with protocol feasibility and activation.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration across regulatory, QA, site development and finance.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to coordinator, data coordination and medical records teams.
• Train and develop staff and management competencies.
• Ensure data management timeliness, data quality and audits readiness.
• Support study acquisition and activation with global shared services.
• Ensure compliant patient care workflows within research protocols.
• Lead process improvements for patient care and efficiency.
• Review incoming protocols for feasibility with operations.
• Coordinate inter-department communication and regulatory compliance.
• Support CTMS and EHR system utilization and data capture.
• Collaborate with other leaders to drive site operations improvements.
• Partner with Nursing to lead site operations and strategic projects.
• Other duties as assigned.
