Job summary

The START Center for Cancer Research is seeking a Director of Study Operations to lead research operations, ensuring adherence to START standards and regulatory requirements with a focus on high quality patient care.

This role provides direction to the Clinical Research Coordinator, Data Coordinator and Medical Records teams, collaborates with Nursing and Shared Services, and drives process improvements across departments to support activation and QA activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 5 years of leadership experience in oncology clinical research.
• CITI GCP training.
• Knowledge of GCP, GDPR and US federal clinical research regulations.
• Familiar with Microsoft Office applications and clinical documentation systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to Coordinators, Data Coordination, and Medical Records to meet KPIs.
• Train staff and demonstrate competency for roles.
• Ensure data management and communication with monitors and auditors per GCP and SOPs.
• Support study acquisition/activation and protocol reviews; oversee data collection in required systems.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliant care delivery.
• Lead site operations with Nursing and other leaders to drive process improvements.
• Support CTMS/EHR implementation.
