Job summary

The START Center for Cancer Research in Miami, FL seeks a Director of Study Operations to lead research operations, ensuring study conduct meets START standards, regulatory requirements and delivers high-quality patient care.

This role directs Clinical Research Coordinator, Data Coordination and Medical Records teams, partners with Nursing and Shared Services, supports study activation and QA, and drives continuous process improvements across the network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• 5 years of leadership experience in oncology clinical research.
• CITI GCP training.
• Knowledge of GCP, GDPR and US federal clinical research regulations.
• Experience with CTMS and EHR documentation systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead Clinical Research Coordinator, Data Coordination and Medical Records teams to meet site KPIs.
• Provide training and competency assessment for staff and management.
• Ensure data management, monitor communications, and training documentation per GCP and SOPs.
• Support study acquisition and activation with global shared services to meet START goals.
• Ensure efficient processes to support patient care workflows within clinical research protocols.
• Collaborate with department leaders for process improvement and change management.
