Job summary

DeVry University is seeking a Student Support Advisor to guide students through enrollment, finances, and services. You will provide proactive advising across financial, academic, and service areas, foster personal relationships, and monitor progress to promote graduation and success.

You’ll work in a dynamic call center setting, using calls, chats, emails, and SMS to meet students’ needs while aligning with DeVry's Care Culture.

Qualifications

• Some college coursework required
• Minimum 1 year of exceptional customer service or advising in education
• Ability to access NSLDS and not be in default of Title IV aid
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and online tools
• Home office with reliable wired internet

Responsibilities

• Assist with new student enrollment by partnering with Admissions and explaining program/costs
• Develop and validate a financial plan and timelines for applicants
• Understand Title IV financial aid programs, policies, and procedures
• Monitor accounts and advise on financial eligibility and awards
• Identify obstacles and work with students to overcome them
• Use data and systems to track enrollment, persistence, graduation
• Know resources to recommend based on student needs
• Document interactions accurately in the system
• Exercise discretion evaluating complex academic/financial situations
• Deliver proactive, accurate advising via calls, chats, emails, and SMS
