The University of Texas at Austin is seeking a Student Assistant in Business Operations for OnRamps. This 15-hour-per-week, non-exempt position is open to both work-study and non-work-study students and operates remotely within the Austin area.

Pay starts at $12.00/hour with increases for experience and returning OnRamps students, up to $14.50/hour. The role supports the Business Operations team with accounting, purchasing, HR data entry, reporting, and customer service.

Qualifications

• Current UT student.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office.
• At least one professional or academic reference.
• Organized and highly flexible.
• High level accuracy and attention to detail.
• Able and willing to learn new software systems quickly.
• Available for shifts of at least two hours between 7:30 am - 4 pm, Monday - Friday.

Responsibilities

• Supports the Invoicing/Payments specialist by creating payment vouchers in DEFINE, such as VP1s, VP2s, VPEs, and VP5s.
• Processes affiliate assignments and one‑time payments in Workday to assist the Human Resource Coordinator.
• Assists the Senior Procurement & Contracts specialist with creation and processing purchase orders and travel authorizations.
• Provides excellent customer service.
• Other duties and projects as assigned to assist the Enrollment & Operations teams.
