Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Civil/Structural Engineer for a fully remote role within Michigan, Ohio, or Indiana. You will contribute to the design and delivery of complex structures from concept through completion, focusing on concrete and steel design, permitting, and regulatory considerations.

You will collaborate with clients, government agencies, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams, provide technical leadership, and mentor engineers while advancing project ownership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of structural engineering experience.
• Active PE license or ability to obtain EIT/other state registrations.
• Strong experience in concrete and steel design.
• Good understanding of standards, permitting, and regulatory aspects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for client interaction.

Responsibilities

• Be part of design and delivery of complex structural projects from concept through completion.
• Develop design alternatives that consider requirements, constructability, and permitting.
• Prepare and review calculations, plans, specifications, reports, and other project docs.
• Oversee multidisciplinary project teams and coordinate technical, financial, and PM needs.
• Collaborate with clients, government agencies, contractors, and stakeholders to resolve issues and advance projects.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers and team members.
• Collaborate with structural designers across offices/states to share expertise and drive innovation.
