Job summary

ms consultants, inc. in Columbus, Ohio seeks a motivated Structural Engineer to design and analyze building systems for a variety of projects, collaborating with architects, project managers and multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited college or university.
• Experience in structural engineering or related building design.
• EIT certification required; candidates should be actively pursuing PE licensure or have passed the PE exam.
• Proficiency with structural analysis and design software; CAD and Revit experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of applicable building codes and structural design standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for building systems and related infrastructure projects.
• Prepare structural calculations, technical reports, construction drawings, and specifications.
• Assist with development of design concepts and engineering solutions for new and existing structures.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, clients, and other project stakeholders throughout all project phases.
• Support project managers in maintaining project schedules, budgets, and deliverable quality.
• Conduct site visits, field investigations, and construction observation as needed.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable building codes, industry standards, and client requirements.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver successful projects and high-quality client service.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and professional development opportunities.
