Job summary

Orbital, Engineering, Inc. seeks an experienced Structural Engineer for our Asset Integrity program in a REMOTE WORK role. You will evaluate structures, design repairs, and contribute to long-term asset management planning for industrial facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum five years of professional structural engineering experience in industrial environments.
• Experience with structural steel, reinforced concrete, masonry, and/or foundation systems.
• Demonstrated ability to independently develop engineering evaluations, repair designs, and capital recommendations from inspection data.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and engineering software; STAAD or equivalent is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary engineering resource for structural asset evaluations, prioritizing repairs based on client standards.
• Review and validate structural inspection findings and translate field data into engineering evaluations and recommendations.
• Prepare engineering reports, condition assessments, and technical recommendations for clients and Orbital's project team.
• Develop repair scopes and capital recommendations based on engineering evaluations and client priorities.
• Coordinate with Orbital's office engineering team to ensure repair solutions are sound and code-compliant.
• Provide engineering support during repair execution, including RFIs, submittal reviews, and field condition resolution.
• Support long-term asset management planning with condition assessments and maintenance strategies.
