Job summary

Orbital Engineering, Inc. is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer for an Asset Integrity role in a REMOTE WORK capacity.

You will validate inspector findings, translate data into engineering solutions, and guide risk-based decisions for clients’ structural assets. The role covers evaluation, repair design, and long-term asset management, with emphasis on independent work, strong communication, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for varied audiences.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and engineering software; STAAD or equivalent is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary engineering resource for structural asset evaluations and recommend corrective actions.
• Review and validate inspection findings, translating field data into engineering evaluations.
• Prepare engineering reports, condition assessments, and technical recommendations for clients and project teams.
• Develop repair scopes, calculations, and drawings; coordinate with the office team to ensure code compliance.
• Support long-term asset management planning and capital project planning.
