Job summary

SEH is seeking a Structural/Bridge Engineer to join our Denver-area team, with option for remote work within Colorado or Arizona. You will support bridge design and inspection across Colorado and the Western U.S., collaborating with a multidisciplinary team on transportation projects.

Base compensation ranges from $100,000 to $130,000 based on experience, with full benefits and growth opportunities toward project leadership within our employee-owned firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with emphasis in structural engineering.
• PE license required; Colorado/Arizona licensure preferred.
• NCEES record within 6 months of hire.
• Experience with structural analysis software such as Bentley OpenBridge, RISA, and L-Pile.
• Familiarity with AASHTO bridge design requirements and CDOT/ADOT criteria.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• ACI and PCI concrete testing certification preferred or obtainable within 12 months.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel for project needs.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design of transportation structures including bridges and culverts.
• Prepare engineering reports and structure selection reports.
• Perform bridge and culvert inspections and load ratings.
• Prepare structural calculations and load rating packages using various software.
• Apply AASHTO LRFD and state/design manuals.
• Prepare strand construction specifications and quantity takeoffs.
• Review shop drawings, RFIs, and submittals during construction.
• Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and other disciplines.
• Coordinate with clients, agencies, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Visit project sites, observe construction activities, and inspect precast plants.
• Perform field work including lifting up to 50 lbs.
