Job summary

PerkinElmer seeks a Strategic Segment Manager to own go-to-market strategy for Petrochemicals, Mining & Metals. This market-facing, intelligence-led role sits at the intersection of product strategy and commercial execution, spanning multiple product lines.

The successful candidate will build the segment market model, diagnose growth trends, and set the growth thesis for the segment, partnering with regional sales and marketing teams worldwide.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in product management, segment marketing, market intelligence, or applications science within analytical instrumentation, life sciences tools, or a closely adjacent scientific or industrial technology business.
• Strong communication skills: able to write and present at a high standard for both technical and commercial audiences.

Responsibilities

• Maintain deep knowledge of the assigned segment: customer workflows, regulatory and compliance requirements, competitive landscape, and technology adoption trends
• Execute VOC programs across key geographies and sub-verticals to inform MRD and GTM actions
• Build MRD and schedule annual updates; present findings to VP Product Line teams, VP Marketing, and Sr. Director
• Own segment market model: size, share, installed base by sub-segment and geography; analyze orders and pipeline for leadership insights
