Job summary

Vector Security is seeking a Special Projects Operations Manager to lead the Special Projects team in Gainesville, VA or remote US. You will oversee project timelines, manage quotes, and coordinate with purchasing/billing to ensure on-time delivery and margins.

You will supervise staff, handle timesheets, performance, and escalations, and drive inspections oversight, reporting to clients and internal departments. PMP or D365 experience preferred; MS Office proficiency required.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or equivalent in project management or security field preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of project management experience; 7+ years preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of security systems and industry required.
• Proficiency with MS Office.
• PMP certification and/or D365 knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Special Projects team and track timelines across multiple projects.
• Coordinate with purchasing/billing on backorders and payments.
• Review work orders in D365 and update scope/deadlines.
• Generate quotes ensuring clear scope and margins; weekly PM/PC check-ins.
• Lead and guide team on tasks; maintain project tracking and KPIs.
• Manage timesheets for hourly staff and handle hires/fires.
• Ensure projects meet margins and revenue targets.
• Oversee Inspections Department; track overdue tasks and escalations.
• Attend customer planning meetings and provide reporting to clients.
