Job summary

Access TeleCare is seeking an Analyst, Strategic Operations (IDR) to support the NSA Independent Dispute Resolution program, validating data, confirming eligibility, and building cases on Access TeleCare's behalf from a remote location.

You will drive payments through payer escalation, oversee program vendors, and shape reporting, documentation, and process improvements as the program scales. This role offers ownership from day one in a high‑impact, evolving healthcare space.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Finance, Economics or similar is preferred.
  • 0-2 years of work experience; internship, co‑op, or coursework in healthcare, analytics, or operations preferred
  • Experience with multiple systems and platforms
  • Experience in a high growth healthcare company preferred
  • Experience with the Independent Dispute Resolution process under the NSA preferred; training will be provided
  • Proficiency with Excel and handling large datasets
  • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and follow through on long‑running items with limited direct supervision
  • Strong written and verbal communication for both internal teams and external payer parties
  • Familiarity with HIPAA and healthcare compliance standards
  • Interest in learning a complex and rapidly evolving regulatory area and growing with the program

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, validate, and submit IDR disputes, including confirming eligibility under federal and state requirements and customizing the supporting evidence submitted for each dispute
  • Review claim, payer, and determination data for accuracy and completeness, resolving discrepancies before submission
  • Facilitate payer escalations and drive cash collections on prior disputes through direct phone outreach, written and faxed follow‑up
  • Develop standard operating procedures, training materials, and workflow documentation for escalation and collection activity, including work performed by offshore resources
  • Support vendor management by locating and organizing documentation, coordinating contract and information requests, tracking deliverables, and monitoring vendor performance against expectations
  • Develop and maintain proactive reporting and metrics for the IDR program, surfacing trends in eligibility, determinations, payer behavior, and recovery
  • Translate and articulate analytical results with common sense approach to non‑technical business audience including executive management and external partners
  • Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of payer guidelines, state/federal regulations, and industry standards to ensure accurate documentation and compliance with all requirements throughout program
  • Collaborate and communicate with payers during the dispute process to reach a mutually beneficial resolution where possible and support continually improving payer relations
  • Ability to work independently to resolve data integrity and integration issues with various team members across various departments
  • Identify opportunities to improve process, documentation, and tooling as the program matures, and take ownership of assigned improvement projects
