Burkland Associates is seeking a strategic Fractional CFO Consultant with a proven track record in AI and AI-adjacent startup finance. You will partner with founders and investors, owning financial planning, KPI dashboards, and fundraising efforts for fast-growing ventures.

The role requires 7–10 years in finance/ops, senior leadership exposure, and comfort operating at the board level. This remote-first position offers flexible hours and opportunities to influence multiple clients.

Qualifications

• Direct, substantial experience in finance roles at venture-backed startups in AI/SaaS.
• Experience with compute cost management, cloud infra, training/inference expenses, and hybrid pricing models.
• Experience advising through major capital events — equity & SAFE fundraising, M&A, exits.
• Knowledge of AI tools applied to CFO functions: analysis, processes, accounting, reporting.

Responsabilités

• Head of Finance responsibilities including monthly close, budgeting & forecasting, capital planning & treasury management.
• Advise founders on financial strategy and capital planning.
• Own the finance section of Board meetings with KPI dashboards and investor updates.
• Support fundraising and M&A activities, term sheets, diligence.
