Job summary

SeriesUp Consulting seeks an experienced finance leader to join as a Fractional CFO across a portfolio of high-growth startups. You will act as the senior-most finance leader for each client, partnering with founders and boards to set strategy and drive execution across engagements.

You will manage multiple client engagements, maintain deep involvement, and balance growth with strong governance. This full-time remote role offers significant variety, with travel and in-person meetups as needed.

Qualifications

• Seasoned finance leader with startup finance experience and strong FP&A background.
• Experience presenting to boards and investors and leading fundraising.
• Hands-on ERP/accounting system implementation or management.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the senior-most finance leader for each client and set overall financial strategy.
• Own board/investor relationships and prepare board-ready financial packages.
• Lead fundraising strategy, positioning, materials, negotiations and close.
• Drive capital allocation, cash runway planning, and scenario-based forecasting.
• Build and oversee the finance function and mentor talent.
• Ensure timely financial reporting and disciplined monthly close.
• Lead selection/implementation of financial systems for scaling clients.
• Lead due diligence and financial workstreams for M&A or debt financing.
• Partner with CEOs and boards as a trusted strategic advisor.
• Develop new business by pitching services and growing the client base (rev-share).
