Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment is seeking a Technical Sales Manager to spearhead the U.S. market for steel process control equipment. This role is highly autonomous, requiring you to identify opportunities, engage with engineers and plant leadership, and drive the full sales cycle.

You will build relationships with steel producers, understand their process challenges, and shape the market strategy from the ground up while collaborating with an international technical and commercial team.

Qualifications

• Proven experience selling technical equipment, process-control technology or similar into the steel industry.
• Strong understanding of steel production or continuous casting processes.
• Strong technical sales and consultative selling skills to engage engineers and senior decision-makers.
• Self-motivated, entrepreneurial and comfortable working remotely to develop a market from the ground up.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of the U.S. market for specialist process control and related equipment used in steel production.
• Identify, develop and secure new business opportunities with steel producers and key stakeholders.
• Build and manage long-term relationships with major steel industry customers and understand their production challenges.
• Own the sales process from market development through proposals, negotiation and project delivery.
