USA TODAY Co. is seeking a State Election Coordinator to lead statewide election-night results collection with a distributed network of stringers. You will plan, recruit, train, and manage coverage across 100–150 jurisdictions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness under high scrutiny.

The role requires coordinating with election officials, developing staffing strategies, and providing real-time operational decisions during elections. Remote work is possible with national scope.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Strong understanding of U.S. election systems and county-level reporting.

Responsibilities

• Research and validate state and county election reporting processes.
• Build and manage a statewide network of 100–150 stringers.
• Recruit, onboard, and train stringers with a standardized program.
• Produce pre-election deliverables: coverage plans and staffing models.
• Lead election-night operations and troubleshoot issues in real time.
