Job summary

The County Elections Office is seeking a Supervisor of Voting Equipment Technicians to lead day-to-day operations, prioritize workload, and ensure timely delivery of election equipment and supplies.

You will oversee training, performance evaluations, asset maintenance, and coordination with partners to support all elections. A degree and related experience are preferred. Valid driver license required.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent required.
• Relational databases experience preferred.
• Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises Voting Equipment Technicians and temporary staff, providing training and guidance.
• Plans and assigns daily workload for operations to meet election deadlines.
• Evaluates performance, identifies development needs, and assists with hiring recommendations.
• Maintains records of maintenance for voting and support equipment and vehicles.
• Requisitions trucks, vans, and temporary staff for election logistics.
• Assists with election activities and supports troubleshooting for voting equipment.
• Participates in testing of voting equipment (pre/post/public tests).
• Processes requisitions and tracks orders for equipment and supplies.
• Oversees assembly and delivery of election official supply kits.
• Provides regular reports to managers and supervisors.
• Enforces procedures and conducts quality checks on staff output.
• Coordinates with other areas to improve performance.
• Acts as liaison between County Elections, political parties, and related entities.
• Serves as first-level staff resource for customer questions and policies.
• In manager's absence, acts as point-of-contact with Facilities Department.
• Participates in personnel matters and budget input related to voting equipment.
• Ensures security of voting equipment, tabulators, and results files.
• Attends training to maintain or enhance job skills.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
