Job summary

The State of Connecticut, Secretary of the State is seeking an Elections Program Manager to lead and coordinate elections laws, procedures, and oversight in collaboration with the LEAD division.

The role emphasizes designing and applying regulations, managing projects, training large groups, and ensuring confidentiality and accuracy in a high-pressure environment. Telework is available after training, with in-office days 1-2 per week.

Qualifications

  • Experience designing, developing and drafting practices, procedures, and regulations.
  • Experience implementing and/or applying regulations and laws governing federal, state and municipal election activities.
  • Experience in elections administration roles, including handling of confidential information with discretion.
  • Experience evaluating and designing election systems, including election equipment, systems and security.
  • Experience managing and maintaining priorities and tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Experience facilitating training for large groups on elections topics.
  • Experience in program/project management related to elections and election laws/administration.
  • Experience with one or more project management software packages.
