Job summary

Carpenter, McCadden & Lane, LLP, a regional defense law firm, is expanding in the Harrisburg area and seeks an attorney to join the workers' compensation defense team. Initially remote, the role will transition to in-person as the Central PA office opens, with opportunities to interface with clients through litigation and educational programs.

The ideal candidate has a JD, is or will be admitted to PA, WV, or NJ, and possesses strong research, writing, and communication skills, with a commitment

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Expected Admission to PA, WV, or NJ bar.
• Strong academic record.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Conduct legal research and analysis on workers' compensation laws.
• Assist senior attorneys in preparing pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and medical experts.
• Attend hearings, depositions, and mediations (virtual and in-person).
• Collaborate with team to develop case strategies and tactics.
• Maintain accurate and organized case files and documentation.
• Stay up to date on developments in workers' compensation law.
