Job summary

Twilio is seeking a Staff Security Engineer, Threat Hunting, to join a remote-first security engineering team. You will develop bespoke and standard security tooling, automate detections, and drive threat mitigation and incident response at scale.

You will collaborate with R&D Engineering and Business teams to design scalable security processes and implement multi-year roadmaps while growing a global security program and improving detections across a cloud-native stack.

Qualifications

• Proven security engineering in production-cloud environments.
• Subject-matter expert on security issues and technologies.
• Experience designing and building AI agents and agentic workflows.
• Ability to utilize AI for comprehensive threat hunting with high fidelity detections.
• Experience detecting and responding to AI threats per MITRE ATLAS or similar framework.
• Advanced knowledge of SOA and security tools for cloud environments.
• Experience with SIEM platforms and extending their functionality.
• Experience with SOAR tools and automating manual security processes.
• Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform or CloudFormation).
• Experience with AWS, GCP, or other large cloud platforms.
