Job summary

Twilio is seeking a Staff Security Engineer, Threat Hunting, to join our remote-first Security Engineering team. You will solve high‑impact security challenges, build bespoke tooling, and automate detection for scalable threat mitigation and incident response.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of security engineering in a production-cloud environment.
• Subject-matter expert on security issues and technologies.
• Experience designing and building AI Agents and Agentic workflows.
• Ability to utilize AI for comprehensive, complex threat hunting delivering high fidelity detections.
• Experience detecting and responding to AI threats following MITRE ATLAS or similar framework.
• Advanced knowledge of service-oriented architectures and security tools for cloud environments.
• Experience across a technology stack on difficult security challenges and initiatives.
• Experience with SIEM platforms and extending their functionality.
• Experience with SOAR tools and automating manual security processes.
• Experience with infrastructure as code, such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Experience in AWS, GCP, or other large cloud platform.

Responsibilities

• Be an Owner: participate in daily operations including on-call rotation, architecting and developing detective tooling and automation, threat modeling, and incident response.
• Write It Down: define Detection and Response roadmaps and ensure timely delivery with proper resourcing.
