Twilio is seeking a Staff Security Engineer in a remote-first setting to tackle advanced security challenges across a cloud environment. You will build and operate detective tooling, participate in incident response, and drive threat-hunting capabilities with AI-driven approaches.

Collaboration with R&D and cross-functional teams is essential to scale security programs. You will mentor colleagues, shape multi-year security roadmaps, and help defend the Twilio platform against evolving threats

Qualifications

• 3+ years of security engineering in a production-cloud environment.
• Experience designing AI Agents and agentic workflows.
• Experience with MITRE ATLAS or similar framework for AI threats.

Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and operate detective tooling and automation for threat detection.
• Lead incident response activities and participate in on-call rotations.
• Collaborate across R&D to align detection strategy with business goals.
• Build scalable security tooling to simplify complex security challenges.
• Mentor teammates and foster inclusive, high-performing culture.
