Job summary

ezCater is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to lead the frontend architecture for the Restaurant Partner Experience. You will shape the partner portal, onboarding, and order-management tooling used by thousands of restaurant operators daily.

You will collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering leaders to set standards, enable AI-enabled insights, and drive scalable, high-performance frontend systems at scale. Remote-hybrid work from Boston or home.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional frontend development experience with React, Next.js App Router, and TypeScript in complex systems.
• 4+ years of production React experience with micro-frontend architectures (Islands, module federation, edge-side composition).
• Proven track record evangelizing and standardizing frontend architecture (design systems, monorepo tooling, micro-frontend boundaries).
• Experience collaborating with Product, Design, and Research to drive product direction.
• Experience building data-rich frontends (dashboards, reporting, data visualization) for non-technical users.
• Experience mentoring engineers and aligning with business stakeholders on technology roadmaps.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical vision for reimagining the partner experience from onboarding to order fulfillment tooling.
• Champion AI-native frontend development practices and machine-readable interfaces for humans and AI agents.
• Define frontend architecture standards with the Front End Core team (micro-frontend, monorepo, design system governance).
• Collaborate with Principal Engineers, Product Managers, and Designers to evolve partner-facing frontend systems.
• Shape in-product BI and reporting within the partner portal, evaluating analytics tools and crafting data-dense, accessible interfaces.
• Mentor teammates and foster a culture of learning and collaboration.
