Job summary

Keeper Security is seeking a Staff Software Engineer focused on Certificate Lifecycle Management to architect and build next-gen certificate and machine identity security capabilities within the Keeper platform. This is a 100% remote role with a possible hybrid option for candidates in the Chicago, IL or El Dorado Hills, CA areas.

You will provide technical leadership across PKI, certificate management, APIs and automation workflows, partnering with Engineering, Product, Security and DevOps to

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Deep hands-on experience with certificate lifecycle management, PKI or machine identity security.
• Strong understanding of X.509 certificates, PKI, trust stores and cryptographic concepts.
• Experience designing scalable APIs, distributed systems and automation workflows.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS, Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Architect and lead certificate lifecycle management capabilities across discovery, issuance, deployment, renewal, rotation and revocation.
• Design scalable backend services and APIs for certificates, machine identities and cryptographic metadata.
• Build certificate discovery and automation workflows across cloud platforms and enterprise infra.
• Collaborate with product, security and operations to translate requirements into secure, scalable systems.
• Mentor engineers and guide PKI architecture and security practices.
