Keeper Security, Inc. is hiring a Staff Software Engineer focused on Certificate Lifecycle Management to architect and build robust PKI and machine identity capabilities across the Keeper platform.

This 100% remote role offers a hybrid option for candidates in Chicago, IL or El Dorado Hills, CA. You will lead backend and API development, automation workflows and enterprise integrations while shaping the technical direction of Keeper’s certificate management.

Responsibilities

• Architect and develop certificate lifecycle management capabilities spanning discovery, enrollment, issuance, deployment, renewal, rotation and revocation.
• Design scalable backend services and APIs for certificates and machine identities across enterprise environments.
• Build certificate discovery and automation workflows across cloud platforms, Kubernetes, web servers, load balancers, databases and more.
• Design integrations with public and private certificate authorities and enterprise PKI environments.
• Develop secure workflows for certificate enrollment, key handling, trust validation and deployment.
• Lead architecture discussions and mentor engineers; establish security-focused engineering standards.
• Evaluate emerging PKI and cryptographic technologies and propose architectural approaches.
• Utilize AI-assisted tools to enhance research, development, debugging and documentation.
