Job summary

Nscale is seeking a Staff Engineer to provide senior-level technical and engineering support across its Energy and Power teams. This remote role focuses on power supply agreements, AI load strategy, and substation/grid engineering, with collaboration across Legal, Finance, Development, and Construction.

Responsibilities include technical analysis, system studies, and documentation to support negotiations and design decisions, plus on-site support for commissioning and troubleshooting as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5–8+ years of power systems engineering experience.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret tariffs and studies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to produce one-line diagrams and support system studies.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical engineering analysis and design support for Energy and Power focus area.
• Support system studies (load flow, short-circuit, reliability) as needed.
• Prepare technical documentation supporting negotiations, design decisions, or strategy recommendations.
• Partner with cross-functional teams (Legal, Finance, Development, Construction) on technical aspects.
• Visit sites to support commissioning, troubleshooting, and design clarifications.
• Support on-site power generation design and integration with UPS/BESS/microgrid controllers.
