The Cigna Group’s Accredo Specialty Pharmacy is seeking a Staff Pharmacist for a remote role. Ideal candidates reside in Arizona, Florida, Ohio, or Pennsylvania and must be willing to be placed on either shift schedule to meet business needs.

Training runs 2–3 months, Mon-Fri 9:00–18:00 ET; after training, shifts vary by location. Responsibilities include interpreting prescriptions, verifying information, ensuring regulatory compliance, tracking orders, and counseling patients on medications and

Qualifications

• Current resident pharmacist license in good standing.
• Strong communication and patient-facing skills.
• Experience supporting pharmacy operations and staff oversight.
• Flexible scheduling to cover peak volume times.
• Ability to interpret prescriptions and provide drug information.

Responsabilités

• Provide oversight and quality assurance to pharmacy technicians.
• Interpret physicians’ or prescribers’ prescriptions.
• Contact doctors and/or patients to verify prescription information to expedite orders.
• Verify and confirm the validity of controlled substances.
• Verify prescription information entered in the system.
• Contact physicians for new and/or transfer authorization.
• Collaborate with physicians to convert prescriptions to generics or preferred drugs.
• Counsel patients on medication use and potential interactions.
• Back up other pharmacists and train less experienced staff.
