Job summary

Accredo Specialty Pharmacy is seeking a Patient Consult Staff Pharmacist for a remote role. You must reside and be licensed in Arizona, Indiana, Florida, Ohio or Tennessee, and be within an hour of local sites where possible. The start date is 10/19/2026 and training lasts 8–10 weeks.

During training, hours are Mon–Fri 9:00am–5:30pm ET. After training, schedules vary, including evening shifts and a weekly Saturday rotation, with a weekday off when working Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy required; PharmD preferred.
• Current active licensed pharmacist in good standing.
• Strong problem-solving and cross-department collaboration.
• Excellent oral and written communication.
• Ability to read and interpret prescriptions.
• Customer-service focused with attention to accuracy and deadlines.
• Flexible schedule for peak volumes.
• Reliable home internet if working remotely.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients about medication use and interactions.
• Contact physicians for new or transfer authorizations.
• Collaborate to convert prescriptions to generics when possible.
• Interpret prescriptions and verify required details.
• Verify information in the system to expedite orders.
• Provide oversight of pharmacy technicians and quality control.
• Verify controlled substances and order entries.
• Back up other pharmacists and train junior staff.
