Job summary

Grafana Labs in a remote-first setup is hiring a Staff Software Engineer for Identity and Access within the Identity Squads to redefine edge authentication and secure millions of users worldwide. You will own authentication architecture, implement OAuth/OIDC/SAML/LDAP/SCIM, and guide large-scale initiatives across multiple services.

You’ll lead technical direction, mentor engineers, and collaborate with product and leadership to align security, reliability, and velocity.

Qualifications

• Proven experience building large distributed systems in production.
• Strong background in Go and edge authentication concepts.
• Ability to define technical direction and drive architectural decisions.

Responsibilities

• Set the technical direction for authentication systems and lead large-scale initiatives.
• Collaborate with leadership, product, and cross-functional partners to define authentication strategy.
• Mentor senior engineers and provide design feedback across teams.
• Represent Grafana Labs at events and contribute to the identity community.
