Job summary

Everyday Electric is seeking a security leader to shape our security strategy across applications, cloud infrastructure, and AI systems. You will drive security architecture reviews, threat modeling, and secure-by-default patterns while partnering with engineering to embed security into the SDLC.

You will guide vulnerability management and incident response as part of a cross-functional team. The role emphasizes building a security-conscious culture, scalable controls, and strong communication

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in application, product, cloud, or infrastructure security with hands-on security engineering.
• Strong software engineering ability to read, write, and review production code and implement secure-by-default patterns.
• Deep understanding of application and API security, authentication/authorization, cloud security, and modern dev & delivery.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive company-wide security strategy across apps, cloud infra, and AI systems.
• Lead security architecture reviews, threat modeling, code reviews, and security testing.
• Partner with engineering teams to bake security into the SDLC and reduce vulnerabilities.
• Define and implement guardrails for LLM-powered apps, AI agents, and MCP/tool integrations.
• Improve security across AWS/GCP, containers, CI/CD, IAM, and software supply chain.
• Lead vulnerability management, prioritize issues, and guide incident response.
• Collaborate with Engineering, IT, Legal and others on security policies, compliance, and risks.
• Build security culture through tooling, training, security champions, and mentorship.
