Job summary

Everyday Electric, a remote-first energy tech company, seeks a senior security leader to shape our company-wide security strategy across applications, cloud infra, and AI systems. You will steer threat modeling, secure SDLC integration, and guardrails for AI-powered products, working with cross-functional teams across AWS, containers, and the software supply chain.

You will also guide vulnerability management, incident response, and security policy programs while promoting a culture of security

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in application, product, cloud, or infrastructure security with hands-on engineering.
• Strong ability to read, write, and review production code and implement practical security improvements.
• Deep understanding of application and API security, authentication, authorization, cloud security, and modern SDLC practices.
• Experience designing scalable security architecture and secure-by-default controls for applications and cloud.
• Awareness of AI/agentic security risks, including prompt injection and data leakage.
• Proficiency with AWS security services (IAM, WAF, GuardDuty, Inspector) and tools like CodeQL, Burp Suite, Zap, Nuclei.
• Strong networking, security, and internet protocol knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive company-wide security strategy across applications, cloud infra, and AI systems.
• Lead security architecture reviews, threat modeling, code reviews, and security testing.
• Implement security guardrails for LLM-powered apps, AI agents, and MCP/tool integrations.
• Improve security across AWS/GCP, containers, CI/CD, IAM, and supply chain controls.
• Lead vulnerability management and incident response, and guide teams during major incidents.
• Collaborate with Engineering, IT, Legal on policies, compliance and emerging risks.
• Foster security culture through tooling, training, and mentorship.
