Job summary

Everyday Electric is seeking aSecurity Leader to define and drive our company-wide security strategy across applications, cloud infrastructure, and AI systems. You will oversee threat modeling, code reviews, and secure-by-default patterns while partnering with engineering teams to harden systems and reduce vulnerabilities.

The role emphasizes AI and agentic security, securing LLM-powered tools, and scaling guardrails across AWS/GCP, containers, and CI/CD.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in application, product, cloud, or infrastructure security.
• Strong software engineering skills with production-code review ability.
• Deep understanding of API security, cloud security, and modern SDLC practices.
• Experience designing scalable security architecture and secure-by-default controls.
• Understanding AI/security risks including prompt injection and third-party integrations.
• Familiarity with AWS security services and security tooling (CodeQL, Burp Suite, Zap).
• Good networking, security, and internet protocol knowledge.
• Ability to drive complex security initiatives across teams and communicate risks clearly.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive company-wide security strategy across applications, cloud infra, and AI systems.
• Lead security reviews, threat modeling, code reviews, and secure SDLC integration.
• Define guardrails for LLM-powered apps, AI agents, and MCP/tool integrations; manage permissions and data access.
• Improve security across AWS/GCP, containers, CI/CD, IAM, and software supply chain.
• Lead vulnerability management, incident response, and cross-team security initiatives.
• Partner with Engineering, IT, Legal, and other teams on policies, compliance, and emerging risks.
• Raise security capabilities through tooling, training, and security mentorship.
