Jobgether is seeking an experienced embedded software engineer to lead development across multiple product platforms. You will shape firmware architecture, define scalable processes, and drive full lifecycle execution in a regulated medical device context.

The role emphasizes collaboration with hardware and controls engineers, hands‑on integration, and robust verification strategies to ensure high quality, safe, and compliant products. Remote work within the United States is supported.

Qualifications

• Experience developing embedded software following IEC 62304 lifecycle processes (requirements, architecture, risk controls, traceability, verification).
• Ability to establish and improve scalable software development processes for a growing medical technology org.
• Proven ownership of complex embedded software projects from architecture to production release.
• Experience delivering embedded firmware for commercial products and collaboration across engineering disciplines.
• Strong embedded C programming and firmware architecture skills.
• Hands‑on hardware–software integration, board bring‑up, and debugging with schematic interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Lead embedded software development across multiple product platforms from requirements to production release.
• Define and evolve firmware architecture and technical direction for scalable designs.
• Establish and manage internal software development processes in line with IEC 62304.
• Develop and verify software safety requirements and risk controls for IEC 60601 compliance.
• Develop production firmware including drivers, interfaces, and charging capabilities.
• Collaborate with electrical/controls engineers to integrate charging technologies into firmware.
• Perform hardware‑software integration, board bring‑up, and issue debugging on real hardware.
• Develop software verification strategies and automated tests to validate requirements and detect regressions.
• Maintain traceable design decisions and verification activities through documentation.
• Drive new features from concept through release, with sound technical tradeoffs.
• Provide technical leadership via architecture reviews, mentoring, and cross‑functional collaboration.
