Job summary

Globus Medical is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer with deep firmware experience to design, build, and test embedded medical devices. You will work with a cross‑functional team to translate requirements into robust hardware and firmware solutions while meeting regulatory standards.

The candidate will contribute to endovascular robotics initiatives, perform hands-on prototyping and validation, and collaborate in an Agile environment to deliver market-ready products with high reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with 3–5 years of electrical engineering experience.
• Experience in analog and digital circuit design including signal processing and power.
• Embedded design in C is a plus.
• Endovascular robotic design experience preferred.
• Sensored or sensorless motor control techniques.
• Familiar with design for test, analysis, and reporting results.
• Schematic capture software - Altium preferred.
• Experience with firmware.
• PCB development including layout, debugging and component selection.
• NRTL safety and EMC testing per IEC 60601.
• Medical device industry experience is a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Motivated self-starter with good time management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and test connected embedded systems and firmware.
• Translate product requirements into design specs and verification tests.
• Develop PCBAs with analog, digital, and embedded components.
• Create test fixtures, procedures, and scripts (Python).
• Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and software engineers in agile teams.
• Integrate system hardware and firmware into market-ready medical devices.
• Validate real-world system performance and document results.
• Adhere to timelines and regulatory requirements across US and international markets.
