Job summary

PayNearMe MT, Inc is seeking a remote, full-time Staff Data Engineer to provide technical leadership in designing and developing a modern data platform that supports reporting and analytics. You will lead scalable data models across bronze, silver, and gold layers and architect cloud-native ELT pipelines for payment analytics and regulatory reporting.

The role requires a strong background in enterprise data platforms, dimensional modeling, and SQL/Python with Snowflake and AWS.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
10+ years of professional experience in Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, or Data Platform Engineering.
Deep expertise designing enterprise-scale data platforms and cloud-native architectures.
Expert knowledge of dimensional modeling, fact and dimension design, and data warehouse architecture.
Strong experience with SQL, Python, Snowflake, dbt, and AWS technologies.

Responsibilities

Lead the design and implementation of scalable data models across Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers of the data architecture.
Design, build, and optimize cloud-native ELT pipelines to support various data products, including payment analytics and regulatory reporting.
Serve as a technical leader, mentoring engineers and driving best practices for data modeling and pipeline development.
