We’re remote-first with a global workforce, and we value curiosity, collaboration, and ownership. We’re seeking a Staff Data Engineer to lead our Data Engineering team, shaping architecture, mentoring engineers, and delivering production‑grade data platforms across Snowflake, dbt, and AWS.

Qualifications

• Deep expertise in Snowflake data modeling, performance tuning, and cost management.
• Experience leading complex data platform initiatives across teams.
• Strong Python and SQL fundamentals with ELT patterns.
• Proven ability to mentor junior engineers and drive architectural decisions.
• Hands-on experience with self-hosted orchestration (Prefect preferred).
• AWS infrastructure expertise and Terraform-based deployments.
• Experience with dbt migrations and modern data stack evolution.
• Commitment to secure, compliant engineering practices.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical lead for the Data Engineering team.
• Own architecture and design decisions for core data systems.
• Partner with stakeholders across functions and communicate risks.
• Own and operate our self-hosted orchestration platform (Prefect).
• Own the operational hygiene and cost footprint of self-hosted models.
• Own Cribl's Snowflake environment and RBAC/permissions design.
• Build, operate, and monitor the core data tech stack with logs and observability.
• Advance the modern data stack and dbt Fusion migration.
• Develop cloud-native services on AWS and IaC patterns.
• Mentor/grow data engineers via code reviews and pairing.
• Support AI/LLM workflows in production.
