Job summary

Naviant is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to own reconciliations, journal entries, close activities, and payroll processing under supervision. This role builds specialized skills in revenue reporting, ARR, tax support, and audit-ready documentation.

You will collaborate with finance stakeholders, learn Naviant’s systems (Accounting Seed, Salesforce), and contribute to process improvements through automation. Fully remote, US-based, with comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and prepaids within close deadlines.
• Familiarity with GAAP and strong reconciliation skills; ability to investigate differences.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries and reconciliations; support month-end and year-end close.
• Assist with payroll processing and payroll-related GL entries under supervision.
• Support sales and use tax activities using Avalara and update tax codes as needed.
• Maintain organized documentation and assist with audits.
