Simera is seeking a highly organized Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations and maintain accurate financial records. The role covers general ledger, reconciliations, AP/AR, and financial reporting in a fast-paced setting.

The candidate will handle journal entries, month-end close, and preparation of schedules and statements, with emphasis on accuracy and compliance. A remote-capable environment is supported where appropriate.

Qualifikationen

• Experience with general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial records.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
• Experience with accounting software and ERP systems.
• Ability to manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Experience with month-end and year-end closing procedures.

Aufgaben

• Record and review daily financial transactions and journal entries.
• Maintain general ledger accounts and supporting documentation.
• Perform bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Prepare invoices, payments, expenses, and account adjustments.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
• Prepare analyses, reconciliations, and financial schedules.
• Support the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
• Review transactions for accuracy and policy compliance.
• Identify discrepancies and investigate missing or unusual items.
• Assist budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis as required.
• Support audits by providing requested documentation.
