Job summary

RethinkFirst, a leader in behavioral health technology, seeks a Staff Accountant to join our accounting and finance team, reporting to the Controller. This role handles day-to-day accounting tasks and supports the month-end close.

You will perform bank reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, ensure GAAP compliance, and assist auditors. A background in Accounting or Finance and 2–3 years of experience, plus advanced Excel skills, is preferred.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
• 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong Excel skills including pivot tables and VLOOKUP.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day accounting activities including bank reconciliations.
• Assist the month-end close process with balance sheet and P&L reconciliations.
• Ensure deadlines for financial reporting and management review are met.
• Support external auditors with documentation.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls.
