Job summary

Schweiger Dermatology Group is seeking a Staff Accountant to manage day-to-day and month-end accounting tasks. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, you will prepare monthly journal entries, reconciliations, and assist with internal and external audits.

This remote role supports multiple states, requiring a BA in Accounting/Finance and 1–3 years of experience, GAAP knowledge, and Excel/ERP proficiency. A stable role with growth potential is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 1–3 years of general accounting experience; internship experience considered.
• Working knowledge of GAAP.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables and lookups.
• Experience with an ERP or general ledger system; healthcare or multi-location experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly journal entries as directed, including accruals and reclassifications.
• Prepare monthly account reconciliations for balance sheet accounts.
• Assist with audit requests and respond to inquiries.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Maintain organized, audit-ready workpapers and reconciliations.
• Assist in preparation of financial reporting schedules and variance analyses.
