Job summary

Chartspan Medical Technologies Inc. is seeking a Staff Accountant to manage daily accounts payable, support payroll, and assist with month-end close in a fast-paced, technology-driven setting.

The role will cross-train across AP, payroll, and accounting processes to ensure accurate financial records. The ideal candidate has 2+ years in AP or staff accounting, proficient Excel/ERP skills, and strong attention to detail within a remote work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• 2+ years of accounts payable, staff accounting, or related accounting experience required.
• Payroll processing or payroll administration experience preferred; willingness to learn company payroll system.
• Experience with accounting ERP systems; technology/SaaS environment a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating across departments.
• High level of discretion when handling confidential financial information.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounts payable from invoice receipt to payment.
• Review invoices for accuracy, documentation, coding, and approvals.
• Process vendor invoices and payments through various methods.
• Support payroll on a back-up basis and assist with payroll-related tasks.
• Assist with month-end close and accounting reconciliations.
• Ensure accuracy of expense reports and corporate card transactions.
• Maintain organized AP records and audit trails.
• Identify opportunities to improve AP processes, controls, and documentation.
