Job summary

Job Duck LLC seeks an Intake Specialist to be the welcoming first contact for individuals pursuing Social Security Disability benefits. You’ll gather medical, employment, and personal information and guide clients through the SSDI/SSI process.

Work is remote with EST/EDT hours, supporting US-based clients, collaborating with attorneys and staff to provide empathetic, accurate onboarding and ongoing case management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
• Experience in law firm, intake, or call center preferred.
• Knowledge of SSDI/SSI preferred but not required.
• CRM or case management systems proficiency required.
• Ability to manage high call volumes professionally.

Responsibilities

• Support administrative tasks associated with client and case onboarding.
• Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Communicate professionally with clients, attorneys, and internal staff.
• Schedule consultations and follow up with prospective clients as needed.
• Screen potential cases for eligibility under Social Security Disability guidelines.
• Conduct detailed intake interviews to collect medical, employment, and personal history.
• Explain the disability application and appeals process clearly and compassionately.
• Enter, update, and maintain accurate client information in the case management system.
• Answer incoming calls and respond to online inquiries from prospective clients.
