Job summary

The Department of Commerce in Washington State is seeking a Small Business Credit Initiative (SSBCI) Program Manager (COM3) to lead program delivery, ensure compliance, coordinate contract lifecycle from award through reporting, and support equitable lending and transparent stewardship of federal funds across the SSBCI portfolio.

This role liaises with program administrators and contractors, reviews loans and investments for alignment with parameters, and informs program design with analysis.

Qualifications

• Seven (7) total years of combined education and/or experience in community trade or economic development.
• OR Associate’s degree in business or public administration or a related field and five years of professional‑level experience in community, trade, or economic development.
• OR Bachelor’s degree and three years of relevant experience in community, trade, or economic development.

Responsibilities

• Support program delivery for the SSBCI at the statewide level.
• Serve as liaison and contract manager with program administrators and contractors.
• Ensure loans/investments align with program parameters and promote equitable lending.
