Responsible for providing quality loan processing, reviewing files for adherence to underwriting standards, and ensuring completeness of submission. Obtains necessary information (e.g., loan applications, credit documents, appraisals) to process and complete mortgage loan files. Performs all duties in accordance with company policies, procedures, and all applicable US state and federal laws and regulations. The target pay range for this position is $58,000 to $70,000.

What You’ll Do

• Review loan submissions, monitor incoming documents, and verify data collected by Brokers.
• Obtain necessary information to process and complete mortgage loan files.
• Input loan information into the company’s Loan Origination System (LOS).
• Maintain open files, order appraisals, send verifications, and acquire documentation related to Borrower and property.
• Ensure work quality and compliance with company policies, procedures, and investor guidelines.
• Coordinate with external parties like Escrow Officers, Title Officers, Realtors, and Appraisal Management Companies to resolve issues.
• Communicate with internal departments to resolve outstanding issues and update on loan status.
• Evaluate credit information to determine acceptability for loan programs.
• Verify credit reports and flood certificates as needed.
• Submit completed files for underwriting approval.
• Obtain necessary stipulations to clear conditions prior to documentation and funding.
• Meet deadlines for disclosures, approval letters, and denial notices.
• Process 4506T, lock confirmations, and Change of Circumstance requests as needed.
• Monitor pipeline to ensure timely funding.
• Assist Post Closing Department with secondary market processes.

What You'll Need

• Maintain confidentiality of borrower information.
• Thorough knowledge of mortgage loan processing and underwriting guidelines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and office equipment.
• Strong customer service and organizational skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to handle detailed tasks, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
• High School diploma or equivalent; 3+ years of loan processing experience.
• Experience with Encompass/Empower preferred; familiarity with DU, LP, or AUS preferred.
